Hey there, friends! Hope you’re all doing well! It’s that time again for me to commit to checking in more often, and then, to fade away for longer than I should… No, this time I’ll stay more on top of things…. sure I will 🙂
Things in the Rich McGuire music world have stayed busy and fun. I’m currently home for a few weeks and enjoying performing at my favorite local haunts. I’ll try to keep the calendar updated and hope to see you out and about on the Gulf Coast.
It’s been about 18 months since my most recent album release, Maybe Tomorrow. Wow, that time went by quick. I guess I best be gettin’ back to the studio. In fact, I’m thrilled to let you know that I’ll be reporting in at MFG Studios in September to begin laying down some new tracks. This’ll be a new studio experience for me, and I’m excited at the opportunity to record with my MFG family under the direct supervision on my buddy, Dave Signs. He always makes everybody sound great. I’m really looking forward to this experience and to be able to share my most recent original tunes with all of you!
And… speaking of MFG Records and Dave Signs, I’m thrilled to announce to you that Dave, MFG Recording Artist – Beth Travers, and I will be performing on the Margaritaville at Sea Islander departing Tampa on January 24, 2025 on a 4 night Cruise to Cozumel which includes 2 Sea days for us to play tunes and share a beverage and enjoy your company. More information about this will be available this week and I will update this blog accordingly. We truly hope you’ll consider joining us, as we love spending time with our crazy, music loving friends! I will share all of the details here as soon as they’re available.
In addition to my Rich McGuire Music, I’m also headed back to the studio up in Waynesville, North Carolina in a couple of weekes to begin recording our next Eireann’s Call CD! We realized that we’ve been performing a bunch of David’s original tunes that we’ve never recorded for quite a while now so, it’s time for us to get ‘em down officially! It’ll be great getting to work with these stellar musicians. David Doersh is still leading us fearlessly as we travel the world through our music. Of course, he his guided by our wondrful percussionista extraordinare, Cat Doersch. She is such a skilled and finely crafted musician and a joy to work with! In addition to David and Cat, Eireann’s Call is blessed to have equally amazing talents on Fiddle, Chris Dawson, on Bass, Steve Smith and, on Keys, the most recently acquired amazing talent, Mr. James Werning. Welcome James!
I will keep my calendar updated with all dates from my Trop Rock Shows and my Celtic/World Music shows with Eireann’s Call. We’ve got many great festivals and venues to play coming up and truly hope to see you all out there!
So, to sum things up… You can expect a couple of new CD projects to be released prior to the end of 2024, We’re cruising with our trop rock friends in early 2025, and there’s tons of great music and frienship ahead of us! Thanks for checking in!
Slainte!
