Raising money for Relay for Life

My mom is down from New York enjoying the warm Sarasota weather (can you blame her?) and took a night out of her vacation to join the Sarasota Bay Parrot Head Club and help raise money for Relay for Life. Our family has been touched by cancer more than I’d care to say — my dad, mother-in-law, aunt and grandfather were all taken by this terrible disease. So we’re big supporters of the Relay for Life event each year. Even though she won’t be here for the actual Relay event (unless we can convince her!), she contributed quite a bit during this visit. And I’m proud that she’s joined the ranks of the Parrot Heads!
